I first heard DJ Shamus playing as a
part of his residency at Sounds
on Sunday at the Greenwood Hotel, Sydney. Shamus absolutely blew me away with an
upbeat and very funky set, the type of set that I now know characterises his style.
Playing his signiature tune
"We need Love" and dancing behind the decks he is a DJ that is really into the
music that he plays and the crowds really respond to that.
Having been so blown away by
Shamus we kicked on to another regular spot of his, After Ours at
Yu, a kickin' venue in Kings X. I
can't recall seeing a crowd so amped as they were that night and the set went off. The
place was hot, sweaty, and jumping.
To many S.O.S. stands for Sounds on Sunday but to me
it could just as readily stand for Sounds of Shamus. Champion!!! DJ

Finally, not many
people know this about DJ Shamus but despite his very busy schedule
is known to have taken the time to support our troops in Iraq and
